WHAT IS NATURE NOMADS?


Nature Nomads is a one-day outdoor event where students master essential wilderness skills. Teams select camp locations, build shelters, and create fire - using English throughout. The experience culminates in students enjoying marshmallows over their own campfire, celebrating their new outdoor expertise.
Event activities

Outdoor Safety Skills: Understand the basics of what you need to adapt and thrive safely in the great outdoors.

Shelter Workshop: Learn to assess terrain, select sites, and construct sturdy shelters using ropes, tarps, and natural materials.

Fire Skills: Master the basics of safe fire building, from gathering materials to creating cooking flames.

Skills Challenge: Apply new knowledge through team-based shelter and fire building tasks.

Outriders delivers outdoor experiences where English learning happens naturally. We believe the best classroom is sometimes not a classroom at all, just adventure, exploration, and real-world English practice.

FAQs
Q: Can parents follow along?
A: The event is solely designed for the children to participate. If parents wish to wait for the children to finish their activities, there is also seating for parents at the location, and the Q Square Xiaobitan Shopping Mall is a 5 minute walk if parents want to relax nearby.
Q: Where’s the meet up point?
If you travel by car, we will meet you at the entrance of the 巴特探索教育園區-大新店分部 at 10AM. If you travel by MRT, we will meet you at the Xiaobitan MRT Station platform at 9:50AM.
Q: Is this suitable for 5 years of age under?
A: No, since this event involves tool use and complex instructions.
Q: What makes this different from other outdoor programs?
A: Students build real shelters, make actual fires, and earn tangible results through hands-on learning, creating genuine confidence through achievement.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Kids should bring a Rain jacket, poncho, or umbrella.
Q: Is it possible for children who cannot speak English to join the event?
A: Our teachers are experienced with children who understand very little English.
Q: Is there a fee for the event?
A: Yes, there is a fee of 1200NT$ to cover the event expenses.
Q:How do I pay?
A: We only accept bank transfers. After you sign-up, we will send you the bank information via email. From there you can bank transfer and reply to the email with your last 5-digit bank account number. Once we confirm the payment you will receive a confirmation email.
Q: Can I just show up with my child on the day of the event?
A: No, we don’t accept walk-ins. Reservation only since we have limited materials for the event!
